An unexpectedly hard shot by Niceto Roales in the 72nd minute of play forced Cristal's goalkeeper Ciriaco Eguia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eron Esqueira blasted a shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nuno Feito having to make a save.
