Spectators: 8000 (Terracing: 6001, Seating: 1840, VIP seats: 159) After 3 played minutes La Academia FC got a freekick which was hit by Teobaldo Butron. Erubiel Loiola made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Buinton Freiria in the 13th minute of play. An unexpected shot in the 16th minute by Kubilay Umuralp got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Montrel Tendiero blasted a shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Erubiel Loiola having to make a save. After some careless play in the Sapahuain defense, Montrel Tendiero kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Erubiel Loiola. The Sapahuain fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Erubiel Loiola should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Buinton Freiria in the 27th minute of play forced Sapahuain's goalkeeper Erubiel Loiola to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 29 minutes of play, Sapahuain's Kubilay Umuralp made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Havier Alderete was left in no man's land by his defense there! 33 minutes into the game, Eleazar Cadorniga was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sapahuain's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave La Academia FC the free kick. The supporters of La Academia FC booed when Sapahuain was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eleazar Cadorniga didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Montrel Tendiero in the 39th minute of play forced Sapahuain's goalkeeper Erubiel Loiola to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 41st minute, Kubilay Umuralp ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Havier Alderete was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1.

Montrel Tendiero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erubiel Loiola having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Isidoro Mejina during the 53rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Kubilay Umuralp blasted a shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Havier Alderete having to make a save. 63 minutes into the game, Millrick Betances was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. La Academia FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sapahuain the free kick. Kubilay Umuralp sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Eleazar Cadorniga got his second yellow card in the match during the 75th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. If Kubilay Umuralp had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Montrel Tendiero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Montrel Tendiero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Erubiel Loiola tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 85 played minutes Sapahuain got a freekick which was hit by Yaniusky Velasquez. Leandro Herrasti came free in the 88th minute and tried to tip the ball over Havier Alderete, but to the joy of La Academia FC's supporters the ball went over. 89 minutes into the game, Sapahuain's Kubilay Umuralp nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Havier Alderete made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. Sapahuain were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of La Academia FC for a fine match.
