FBC's Gartzen Orejo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 3rd minute of the match, managed to save FBC from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, FBC's Fernado Telego got a free kick in the 8th minute. Rocendo Guillamas, 9 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Orland Brañas might have been able to make a better finish in the 11th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gartzen Orejo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Orland Brañas ran back to his position shaking his head. Orland Brañas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Iturri Irisarri fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gartzen Orejo having to interfere. Crispo Aza's late challenge caught a Ancolaya's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Crispo Aza helped the player get up and apologised. When Orland Brañas came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Ancolaya fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Orland Brañas couldn't finish the play. Iturri Irisarri received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Gartzen Orejo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Emilio Quiroga came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the FBC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Emilio Quiroga couldn't finish the play. Iturri Irisarri could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but Gartzen Orejo made a huge save. When Orland Brañas came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Ancolaya fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Orland Brañas couldn't finish the play. Emilio Quiroga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Orland Brañas made a kick off. In the 51st minute the ball was on its way in behind Ancolaya's goalkeeper Przemyslaw Kanczuszewski, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 52nd minute Confesor Manzanedo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Przemyslaw Kanczuszewski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gartzen Orejo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Orland Brañas, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. 57 minutes into the match, FBC's goal looked a bit too open when Iturri Irisarri came free, but Gartzen Orejo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 58 minutes, James Garizabal mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FBC and the Ancolaya players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 58th minute, James Garizabal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Przemyslaw Kanczuszewski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Confesor Manzanedo in the 62nd minute of the match. Confesor Manzanedo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Przemyslaw Kanczuszewski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 67th minute, Orland Brañas left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ancolaya fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Orland Brañas might have been able to make a better finish in the 70th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gartzen Orejo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Orland Brañas ran back to his position shaking his head. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Iturri Irisarri managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ancolaya's supporters rose to their feet, but Iturri Irisarri was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gartzen Orejo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Orland Brañas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Emilio Quiroga could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 76th minute of the match, but Przemyslaw Kanczuszewski made a huge save. 83 minutes into the match, FBC's goal looked a bit too open when Orland Brañas came free, but Gartzen Orejo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 84th minute the ball was on its way in behind FBC's goalkeeper Gartzen Orejo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
