Jerardo Rebolloso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Xavon Gutarrate tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Amopaya's Edorta Regalado got a free kick in the 45th minute. Eutropio Benegas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Xavon Gutarrate having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Eutropio Benegas to strike the kick off in the second half. Tebaldo Monteagudo might have been able to make a better finish in the 52nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Guillerme Espejo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tebaldo Monteagudo ran back to his position shaking his head. Tebaldo Monteagudo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guillerme Espejo having to interfere. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Amopaya fans cheered their team off the field, for while AC Libertad had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
