After having played for 15 minutes, Joaquin Maquiano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chilluparje's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joaquin Maquiano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 16 played minutes JECP got a freekick which was hit by Andres Jimilio. The audience was convinced that Mikeldi Castañiza's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Epifanio Solorzano was relentless in the 19th minute of the game. 20 minutes into the match, Chilluparje's goal looked a bit too open when Nicasio Balmaseda came free, but Gurutz Farto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 21 minutes into the game, Llorenc Beranga was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Chilluparje's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave JECP the free kick. A collision led to Chilluparje getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. In the 25th match minute, JECP was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sol Velazco to maneuver through the defense. 26 minutes into the match, Oliviero Argaez sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Epifanio Solorzano threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Oliviero Argaez this time. Epifanio Solorzano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mikeldi Castañiza in the 27th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Guillerme Guixe in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gurutz Farto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 31 minutes into the match, JECP's Guillerme Guixe sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gurutz Farto narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nicasio Balmaseda in the 35th minute of play forced Chilluparje's goalkeeper Gurutz Farto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 36th minute Guillerme Guixe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gurutz Farto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Andres Jimilio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Chilluparje's Gurutz Farto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guillerme Guixe in the 43rd minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Reinaldo Revuelta charged in rather forcefully in the 53rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Reinaldo Revuelta the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 53rd minute, Reinaldo Revuelta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nicasio Balmasedas short, quick shot in the 63rdth minute got Gurutz Farto to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. If Nicasio Balmaseda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Guillerme Guixe in the 70th minute of play forced Chilluparje's goalkeeper Gurutz Farto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Florencio Abadie's late challenge caught a JECP's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Florencio Abadie helped the player get up and apologised. Florencio Abadie kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. JECP's Sol Velazco couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Chilluparje. When the match had gone on for 77 minutes, Guillerme Guixe took a quick shot and it went in 0-1 without a chance for Gurutz Farto to make any attempt to save it. When Paulo Estancion fell near the penalty area in the 82nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored JECP's protests and gave Paulo Estancion a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Chilluparje booed when JECP was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guillerme Guixe didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Joaquin Maquiano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 95 minutes into the match, Chilluparje's goalkeeper Gurutz Farto had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nicasio Balmaseda.
