After having played for 8 minutes, Richie Verga managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kanashiro FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Richie Verga was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 9 minutes into the game, Iratxo Camats was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. JECP's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Kanashiro FC the free kick. A collision led to JECP getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Iratxo Camats hit a great ball. Richie Verga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Epifanio Solorzano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Lekubegi Collado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Epifanio Solorzano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lekubegi Collado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Taurino Salto hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, JECP's Andres Jimilio got a free kick in the 19th minute. It was a well-played corner which Velasco Arnaez managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Richie Verga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Epifanio Solorzano having to interfere.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Lekubegi Collado to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Nicasio Balmaseda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hermon Fontarigo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lekubegi Collado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Epifanio Solorzano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lekubegi Collado, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Kanashiro FC's Hermon Fontarigo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicasio Balmaseda in the 64th minute of play. 68 minutes had been played when some careless play by JECP's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Berto Bobadilla was slow to take the kick. During this time Kanashiro FC's players had a chance to rest. Burutzagi Alejandre was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Epifanio Solorzano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lekubegi Collado in the 74th minute of play. Hermon Fontarigo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nicasio Balmaseda in the 77th minute of play. In the 80th minute, Tolino Villaño hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, JECP's Epifanio Solorzano got control of the ball when Richie Verga tried to sneak it across the goal line. 87 minutes into the match, JECP's goal looked a bit too open when Lekubegi Collado came free, but Epifanio Solorzano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 89 minutes, Guillerme Guixe made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Kanashiro FC's Hermon Fontarigo tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. When the referee blew the final whistle, JECP could leave the field as winners, despite Kanashiro FC having more of the ball for most of the match.
