One of Palermo F.C:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Deportivo Tarapoto FBC:s goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Eustaquio Villarprego stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Marques Farto came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Deportivo Tarapoto FBC fans jumped to their feet. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Leheren Ozuna in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Laureano Somalo saved Palermo F.C from getting behind. Deportivo Tarapoto FBC's Marques Farto got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some careless play in the Palermo F.C defense, Marques Farto kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Laureano Somalo. The Palermo F.C fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Laureano Somalo should have stopped the shot. Palermo F.C's Laureano Somalo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leheren Ozuna in the 96th minute of play. Leheren Ozuna struck a weak shot in the 97th minute. Laureano Somalo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Deportivo Tarapoto FBC. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Deportivo Tarapoto FBC fully deserved thier win.
