In the 16th minute Jurgi Averasturi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Reyes Pedros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Pirro Lambriabe's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Reyes Pedros was relentless in the 20th minute of the game. If Pirro Lambriabe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lapurdi Sudupe was out of position in the 44 minute of play, and Cordarin Zarate capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Cordarin Zarate really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jurgi Averasturi was the one to do the kick off. Nayely Nobal charged in rather forcefully in the 57th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nayely Nobal the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 57th match minute, Iraicha was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nayely Nobal to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Iraicha's zone, Pirro Lambriabe stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Reyes Pedros came out of the goal and Pirro Lambriabe tried to chip the ball over his head. Pirro Lambriabe might have been able to make a better finish in the 86th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Reyes Pedros. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Pirro Lambriabe ran back to his position shaking his head. Jurgi Averasturi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Reyes Pedros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pirro Lambriabe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Reyes Pedros having to interfere. In the 92nd minute Jurgi Averasturi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Reyes Pedros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sugar Carro during the 94th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
