The referee ignored Huancaroni's protests and gave Prejun Monzonis a yellow card for diving instead. Prejun Monzonis hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. When Huilacucho's Illart Baltanas in the 12th minute got a chance for a shot 12th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Huancaroni's goalie prevented a goal. Maria Fauria kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. After having played for 15 minutes, Illart Baltanas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Huilacucho's supporters crossed their fingers, but Illart Baltanas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Alberino Prabes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Vitoria Lagos kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. German Dominguez's shot from long distance in the 29th minute was not bad at all, but Huilacucho's Prejun Thomas knew what was happening and pushed the ball into his arms just before it hit the right post. In the 38th minute Placido Lucio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edson Pascual saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rufio Valonga hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Placido Lucio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edson Pascual having to interfere. In the 48th minute, Illart Baltanas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Omar Respaldiza stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Prejun Thomas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberino Prabes in the 52nd minute of the match. If Illart Baltanas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 57 minutes into the match, Huancaroni's goal looked a bit too open when Placido Lucio came free, but Edson Pascual reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 59th match minute, Huilacucho was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Patricio Lloredo to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Omar Respaldiza managed to get in a good position for a shot. Huancaroni's supporters rose to their feet, but Omar Respaldiza was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edson Pascual made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Prejun Monzonis was shown his second yellow card after 90 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match.
