The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mannie Jado helped the player get up and apologised. After 7 played minutes Club Alianza Lima got a freekick which was hit by Mannie Jado. In the 9th minute Alberino Prabes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nacho Bodon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alberino Prabes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Omar Respaldiza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nacho Bodon having to interfere. Alberino Prabes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Nacho Bodon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. During the 24th minute of the match Mannie Jado completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Mannie Jado a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After 25 played minutes Club Alianza Lima got a freekick which was hit by Mannie Jado. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Omar Respaldiza in the 26th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nacho Bodon saved Club Alianza Lima from getting behind. If Alberino Prabes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 33 minutes into the match, Bidun Abad dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Edson Pascual, 1-0. Yago Horduña hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bidun Abad to make the kick off. Gurutz Gijon blasted a shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Edson Pascual having to make a save. If Bidun Abad had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 56th minute Gurutz Gijon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edson Pascual saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 59th minute the ball was on its way in behind Huancaroni's goalkeeper Edson Pascual, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Bidun Abad struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Edson Pascual didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Club Alianza Lima. After a rather tough play, Huancaroni's Rufio Valonga got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Huancaroni's Edson Pascual played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bidun Abad in the 63rd minute of play. Omar Respaldiza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nacho Bodon having to interfere. In the 71st minute of the match, Alberino Prabes got a very nice opportunity to score, but Nacho Bodon was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. If Bidun Abad had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 79th minute, Huancaroni's Omar Respaldiza ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Nacho Bodon. Nacho Bodon yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. A collision led to Club Alianza Lima getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Intxixu Delgadillo hit a great ball. Huancaroni were awarded a corner in the 88th minute after Club Alianza Lima's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. German Dominguez took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Genaro Landa got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Nacho Bodon quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Omar Respaldiza received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Nacho Bodon came out and tried to block the shot, but Omar Respaldiza slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 98th minute. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Huancaroni had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
