The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Toribio Cantero during the 2nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Hermon Farias took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Azubeli Maoño, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Azubeli Maoño's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hermon Farias read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 15th minute of play. Pueblo Maliaño received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Celestino Pipa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Pueblo Maliaño had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 29 minutes into the game, Azubeli Maoño cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Hermon Farias was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 40th minute, Transito Benavidez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Transito Benavidez's late challenge caught a Chucal's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Transito Benavidez helped the player get up and apologised. Celestino Pipa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jurdan Cajigal in the 55th minute of play. After 55 minutes, Ihintza Aizpurua mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Chucal and the Ross FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ihintza Aizpurua hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. 70 minutes into the match, Ross FC's goal looked a bit too open when Azubeli Maoño came free, but Hermon Farias reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Azubeli Maoño scored 1-3 in the 70th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Hermon Farias, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A very good chance. 96 minutes into the game, Azubeli Maoño recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Hermon Farias. Azubeli Maoño showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-4. The Chucal players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
