The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of CD La Victoria booed when Elite FCP was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paulino Mayorga didn't get a good kick on the ball. Honorato Abechuco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 11 played minutes CD La Victoria got a freekick which was hit by Mirande Picado. 12 minutes into the match, CD La Victoria's goal looked a bit too open when Honorato Abechuco came free, but Rocio Ocon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Honorato Abechuco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rocio Ocon having to interfere. Abilio Cavite hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Carmelo Rael received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Oihan Percaz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in CD La Victoria's zone, Higinio Peramato stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rocio Ocon came out of the goal and Higinio Peramato tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 28th minute, Carmelo Rael hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rocio Ocon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Honorato Abechuco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in CD La Victoria's zone, Honorato Abechuco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rocio Ocon came out of the goal and Honorato Abechuco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Manoel Gayangos during the 34th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 35th match minute, Elite FCP was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Manoel Gayangos to maneuver through the defense. Oihan Percaz made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Dominguez Udobro sent off a good shot on target. If Carmelo Rael had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 45th minute the ball was on its way in behind CD La Victoria's goalkeeper Rocio Ocon, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The CD La Victoria players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Elite FCP were winning 0-1.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Higinio Peramato to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Carmelo Rael left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The CD La Victoria fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Honorato Abechuco received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Rocio Ocon came out and tried to block the shot, but Honorato Abechuco slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 59th minute. Honorato Abechuco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Rocio Ocon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Elite FCP defense, Dominguez Udobro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Oihan Percaz. The Elite FCP fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Oihan Percaz should have stopped the shot. Higinio Peramato recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Elite FCP's Honorato Abechuco got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 79th minute Higinio Peramato shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rocio Ocon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 80 minutes into the game, Higinio Peramato recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Rocio Ocon. Higinio Peramato showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-3. Paulino Mayorga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Rocio Ocon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Carmelo Rael came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the CD La Victoria fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Carmelo Rael couldn't finish the play. Abilio Cavite kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. 97 minutes into the match, Elite FCP's goal looked a bit too open when Dominguez Udobro came free, but Oihan Percaz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Elite FCP eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
