In the 8th minute there was a penalty for Alianza Lima. Xavian Monta stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Cerilo Rado. 0-1. Fix Malvido received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Cerilo Rado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fix Malvido scored 1-2 in the 24th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cerilo Rado, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eguerdi Berdu during the 34th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Eguerdi Berdu kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Hermelando Liñan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristobal Clemente having to interfere. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After the first half Alianza Lima were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Fix Malvido made a kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Gitano Cabral managed to get in a good position for a shot. Yupanqui FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Gitano Cabral was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cristobal Clemente breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Hermelando Liñan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Cristobal Clemente tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 57th minute, Gitano Cabral left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Yupanqui FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. The supporters of Yupanqui FC booed when Alianza Lima was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alfredo Alborja didn't get a good kick on the ball. 61 minutes into the match, Gitano Cabral notched a goal, 3-2, to the right of Alianza Lima's Cristobal Clemente. Cristobal Clemente was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Zuzen Moyuelo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Zuzen Moyuelo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 91 minutes into the game, Eguerdi Berdu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-3. Cristobal Clemente was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. For all the effort they put into the match, the Alianza Lima players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Yupanqui FC.
