The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Prejun Salgado made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Prejun Salgado in the 52nd minute of play forced FC PUMAS's goalkeeper Baiarte Erruz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ganix Niño couldn't finish the play. Ganix Niño could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 72nd minute of the match, but Erubiel Feyjo made a huge save. Albino Vidaurre's late challenge caught a FC PUMAS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Albino Vidaurre helped the player get up and apologised. Baiarte Erruz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Evaristo Raigal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Oihenarte Cascajares fell near the penalty area in the 87th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Alianza Lima's protests and gave Oihenarte Cascajares a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to FC Alianza Lima getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Oihenarte Cascajares hit a great ball. Ganix Niños short, quick shot in the 89thth minute got Erubiel Feyjo to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. When Senin Villavicencio came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the FC PUMAS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Senin Villavicencio couldn't finish the play. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
