Spectators: 6839 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1839, VIP seats: 0) FC Alianza Lima's Prejun Salgado started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 4 played minutes Diablos Rojos got a freekick which was hit by Cordeal Monroy. Evaristo Raigal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Rumaldo Albornoz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 7th minute, Joaquim Villaurreta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Igor Palmadas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Erubiel Feyjo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Evaristo Raigal kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. The supporters of Diablos Rojos booed when FC Alianza Lima was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oihenarte Cascajares didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Igor Palmadas came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Diablos Rojos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Igor Palmadas couldn't finish the play. If Igor Palmadas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Robustiano Raireta blasted a shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Erubiel Feyjo having to make a save. Robustiano Raireta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Robustiano Raireta made a kick off. Joaquim Villaurreta charged in rather forcefully in the 53rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Joaquim Villaurreta the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Joaquim Villaurreta hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Rumaldo Albornoz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Prejun Salgado in the 56th minute of play. Evaristo Raigal struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Rumaldo Albornoz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Alianza Lima. After 63 minutes of play, FC Alianza Lima's Evaristo Raigal made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rumaldo Albornoz was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of FC Alianza Lima booed when Diablos Rojos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joaquim Villaurreta didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 71st minute, Prejun Salgado got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some careless play in the Diablos Rojos defense, Prejun Salgado kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rumaldo Albornoz. The Diablos Rojos fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rumaldo Albornoz should have stopped the shot. Rumaldo Albornoz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Evaristo Raigal in the 77th minute of play. In the 78th match minute, Diablos Rojos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joaquim Villaurreta to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Oihenarte Cascajares managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Alianza Lima's supporters rose to their feet, but Oihenarte Cascajares was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rumaldo Albornoz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rumaldo Albornoz came out of the goal in the 88th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Alianza Lima's Evaristo Raigal. But to his dismay, Evaristo Raigal quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Panpili Tercero kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. FC Alianza Lima's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
