Cordeal Monroy kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. In the 15th minute Bernard Calderero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rumaldo Albornoz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Velasco Frenes in the 16th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rumaldo Albornoz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Bernard Calderero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Cumi booed when Diablos Rojos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Robustiano Raireta didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Bernard Calderero came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Cumi fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bernard Calderero couldn't finish the play. Diablos Rojos's Rumaldo Albornoz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vitoria Corel in the 29th minute of play. In the 30th minute, Bernard Calderero ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rumaldo Albornoz was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Rumaldo Albornoz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bernard Calderero, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Luciano Guereño struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Rumaldo Albornoz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cumi. The Cumi fans' excitement grew in the 36th match minute when Cumi's Bernard Calderero looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bernard Calderero stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Andrew Salas kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. If Mark Langarica had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. With his leg Rumaldo Albornoz managed to avoid a goal in the 61stth minute, when Cumi's Bernard Calderero fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After some careless play in the Diablos Rojos defense, Bernard Calderero kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rumaldo Albornoz. The Diablos Rojos fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rumaldo Albornoz should have stopped the shot. When the match had gone on for 79 minutes, Bernard Calderero took a quick shot and it went in 0-5 without a chance for Rumaldo Albornoz to make any attempt to save it. Rumaldo Albornoz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bernard Calderero in the 86th minute. Velasco Frenes was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 88th minute. Cumi's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. The Diablos Rojos fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Cumi were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
