Urki Lugunez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rumaldo Albornoz having to interfere. Robustiano Raireta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kemen Sardaneta having to interfere. If Robustiano Raireta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 35th minute, Igor Palmadas had to leave the field with a concussion. 35 minutes into the game, Videl Vuelvetoros was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Club Deportivo Ilo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Diablos Rojos the free kick. In the 35th minute, one of Club Deportivo Ilo:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Club Deportivo Ilo. Robustiano Raireta struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Kemen Sardaneta didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Diablos Rojos. After a defensive mix-up in Club Deportivo Ilo's zone, Robustiano Raireta stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kemen Sardaneta came out of the goal and Robustiano Raireta tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Colas Yecora to make the kick off. If Robustiano Raireta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Diablos Rojos's Mitxel Cubillo got a free kick in the 64th minute. Club Deportivo Ilo's supporters rose to their feet, but Urki Lugunez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rumaldo Albornoz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cordeal Monroy kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. Club Deportivo Ilo's Kemen Sardaneta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Robustiano Raireta in the 90th minute of play. 96 minutes into the match, Diablos Rojos's goalkeeper Rumaldo Albornoz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Urki Lugunez. The Club Deportivo Ilo players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
