Kanashiro FC's Jeronimo Ollacuria proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save Kanashiro FC from getting a goal against them. After having played for 38 minutes, Eufrasio Betoño managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kanashiro FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eufrasio Betoño was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Moise Piedrahita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Eufrasio Betoño came up free with the goalie in the 48th minute, the Kanashiro FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eufrasio Betoño couldn't finish the play. After the first half Kanashiro FC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rafael Vivera in the 58th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vasco Yurre saved Fénix FC from getting behind. Vasco Yurre showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rafael Vivera, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Fénix FC's Vasco Yurre played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rafael Vivera in the 61st minute of play. Vasco Yurre made a fantastic save in the 62nd minute, when Eufrasio Betoño sent off a good shot on target. Eufrasio Betoño's late challenge caught a Fénix FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eufrasio Betoño helped the player get up and apologised. Eufrasio Betoño hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. A collision led to Kanashiro FC getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Enetz Silveira hit a great ball.
