Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) 10 minutes into the match, Artur Asenjo notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Botuayoc's Guillerme Ascarraga. Guillerme Ascarraga was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Artur Asenjo came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Ornopampa fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Artur Asenjo couldn't finish the play. Ornopampa's Rami Abril proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save Ornopampa from getting a goal against them. Guillerme Ascarraga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Faron Mirantes in the 25th minute of play. In the 44th minute, Duardo Tejada left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Botuayoc fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Oinaz Arzube made the kick off in the second half. Duardo Tejada fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rami Abril having to interfere. In the 54th minute, Osvaldo Peroalfonso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rami Abril came out of the goal in the 56th minute to try and stop a shot by Botuayoc's Duardo Tejada. But to his dismay, Duardo Tejada quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Ornopampa's Rami Abril played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oinaz Arzube in the 60th minute of play. Faron Mirantes hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in Botuayoc fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 64th minute. Penalty! An unexpectedly hard shot by Artur Asenjo in the 70th minute of play forced Botuayoc's goalkeeper Guillerme Ascarraga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Duardo Tejada had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 77 minutes into the game, Dorio Merida was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Botuayoc's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ornopampa the free kick. A collision led to Botuayoc getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Dorio Merida hit a great ball. In the 85th minute, Artur Asenjo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience was convinced that Artur Asenjo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Guillerme Ascarraga was relentless in the 95th minute of the game. 100 minutes into the match, Jacindo Dueñas had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Guillerme Ascarraga. Botuayoc's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jacindo Dueñas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-3. The Ornopampa supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Ornopampa would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
