Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jorge Consul in the 12th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Isadoro Saz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Jorge Consul had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 42nd minute, Leon Ochavarri hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that Xuan Tellez's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Isadoro Saz was relentless in the 44th minute of the game. If Xuan Tellez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

After 53 minutes of play, La Guaira's Calisto Cianca made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gervasio Pirez was left in no man's land by his defense there! Iyan Galindez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Gervasio Pirez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 65 minutes into the game, Calisto Cianca cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Gervasio Pirez was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 76th minute of the match Bonifaco Cerdeño sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Isadoro Saz skillfully saved the ball. In the 77th minute Jorge Consul shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Isadoro Saz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 81stth minute of the game Xuan Tellez who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but La Guaira's Isadoro Saz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jorge Consul's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Isadoro Saz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 85th minute of play. When Jorge Consul came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Chisque fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jorge Consul couldn't finish the play. When Mikolas Barriola fell near the penalty area in the 97th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Chisque's protests and gave Mikolas Barriola a yellow card for diving instead. The referee gave La Guaira a penalty, 98 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Mincho Nao, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Chisque's Gervasio Pirez. 2-3. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. La Guaira walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
