In the 15th minute, Iyan Galindez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 17 played minutes La Guaira got a freekick which was hit by Leon Ochavarri. Artemio Arnedo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Isadoro Saz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Xurxo Louzara came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Quimariari fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Xurxo Louzara couldn't finish the play. Xurxo Louzara received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Isadoro Saz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Artemio Arnedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tabby Roca struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Isadoro Saz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Quimariari. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Artemio Arnedo in the 41st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Isadoro Saz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 42 played minutes La Guaira got a freekick which was hit by Min Olmos. 45 minutes into the match, La Guaira's goal looked a bit too open when Xurxo Louzara came free, but Isadoro Saz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Quimariari's zone, Iyan Galindez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jeronimo Hormaza came out of the goal and Iyan Galindez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Xurxo Louzara made the kick off in the second half. Jeronimo Hormaza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Iyan Galindez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Min Olmos in the 63rd minute of play forced Quimariari's goalkeeper Jeronimo Hormaza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Xurxo Louzara fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Isadoro Saz having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Quimariari's Iratzeder Maimo got a free kick in the 71st minute. After a defensive mix-up in La Guaira's zone, Xurxo Louzara stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Isadoro Saz came out of the goal and Xurxo Louzara tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Xurxo Louzara sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Olo Sainz charged in rather forcefully in the 76th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Olo Sainz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 76th match minute, La Guaira was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Olo Sainz to maneuver through the defense.
