The referee ignored SC Peru's protests and gave Izotz Malla a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, SC Peru's Izotz Malla got a free kick in the 45th minute. The Susuma fans' excitement grew in the 47th match minute when Susuma's Arsenio Villafaña looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The SC Peru players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Susuma were winning 1-3.

When the match clock showed 68 minutes, the score became 2-3 when Che Baz sped through Susuma's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Clemente Argüero. Castulo Peroria received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ambrosio Pedraza came out and tried to block the shot, but Castulo Peroria slotted it home off the left post making it 2-4 in the 83rd minute.
