When Alianza Lima's Karlo Cotillo in the 37th minute got a chance for a shot 37th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. An unexpectedly hard shot by Karlo Cotillo in the 41st minute of play forced Senior Xerz's goalkeeper Eloy Borrellino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Florencio Dozal charged in rather forcefully in the 41st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Florencio Dozal the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Senior Xerz's Florencio Dozal got a free kick in the 41st minute. A collision led to Alianza Lima getting a freekick after 48 minutes play. Casomiro Vargas hit a great ball. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Eloy Borrellino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Karlo Cotillo in the 53rd minute of play. Cecilio Obiaga hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Karlo Cotillo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Eloy Borrellino made a huge save. Dionisio Sotorrio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dodorol Toledano having to interfere. Eloy Borrellino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tiso Ocio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tiso Ocio in the 67th minute of play forced Senior Xerz's goalkeeper Eloy Borrellino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Karlo Cotillo got free with Eloy Borrellino in the 73rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 76th match minute, Senior Xerz was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gero Vea to maneuver through the defense. Onofre Bueldi, 76 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. In the 80th minute the ball was on its way in behind Alianza Lima's goalkeeper Dodorol Toledano, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a little luck, Senior Xerz's Eloy Borrellino got control of the ball when Karlo Cotillo tried to sneak it across the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tiso Ocio in the 83rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eloy Borrellino saved Senior Xerz from getting behind. Eder Ciaño blasted a shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Eloy Borrellino having to make a save. After a rather tough play, Senior Xerz's Jerico Piñon got a free kick in the 86th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Senior Xerz's zone, Karlo Cotillo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eloy Borrellino came out of the goal and Karlo Cotillo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dionisio Sotorrio in the 94th minute of play forced Alianza Lima's goalkeeper Dodorol Toledano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match was over Alianza Lima could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Senior Xerz throughout the match.
