Spectators: 7545 (Terracing: 5995, Seating: 1500, VIP seats: 50) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Herena Buyeres took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 4th minute Raphael Sevane shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Garcia Cordovilla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Peru getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Luke Velasco hit a great ball. In the 9th minute of the match Mikelar Almaguer shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Garcia Cordovilla showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Alex Orbiz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Valiente Tarresola tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 15 minutes, Inaki Junco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Avengers's supporters crossed their fingers, but Inaki Junco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Herena Buyeres managed to get in a good position for a shot. Peru's supporters rose to their feet, but Herena Buyeres was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Valiente Tarresola breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Inaki Junco struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Garcia Cordovilla didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Avengers. Garcia Cordovilla showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Raphael Sevane, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Alex Orbiz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raphael Sevane in the 32nd minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Garcia Cordovilla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Placido Castaño's late challenge caught a Peru's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Placido Castaño helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Avengers getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Placido Castaño hit a great ball. When Joaquin Alderete fell near the penalty area in the 40th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Avengers's protests and gave Joaquin Alderete a yellow card for diving instead. In the 41st minute, Joaquin Alderete hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 41 minutes into the match, Peru's Gau Torrecilla broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After 45 played minutes Peru got a freekick which was hit by Luke Velasco. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Raphael Sevane to make the kick off. Peru's Garcia Cordovilla played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raphael Sevane in the 52nd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Peru's zone, Inaki Junco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Garcia Cordovilla came out of the goal and Inaki Junco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Inaki Junco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Garcia Cordovilla having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alex Orbiz in the 60th minute of play forced Avengers's goalkeeper Valiente Tarresola to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 63 minutes into the match, Avengers's goal looked a bit too open when Herena Buyeres came free, but Valiente Tarresola reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Placido Castaño got his second yellow card in the match during the 64th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After 65 played minutes Avengers got a freekick which was hit by Placido Castaño. After some careless play in the Avengers defense, Herena Buyeres kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Valiente Tarresola. The Avengers fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Valiente Tarresola should have stopped the shot. If Herena Buyeres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Valiente Tarresola took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Herena Buyeres, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Valiente Tarresola showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alex Orbiz, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Avengers's Inaki Junco got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 91 minutes into the match, Avengers's Inaki Junco sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Garcia Cordovilla narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 97 minutes into the game, Avengers's Inaki Junco nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Garcia Cordovilla made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
