In the 6th play minute Marcos Bustelo came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Txanton Bascal. 1-0. After a defensive mix-up in Cienciano's zone, Elija Carretero stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Txanton Bascal came out of the goal and Elija Carretero tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marcos Bustelo got free with Txanton Bascal in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The audience was convinced that Elija Carretero's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Txanton Bascal was relentless in the 26th minute of the game. Txanton Bascal made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when Marcos Bustelo sent off a good shot on target. Marcos Bustelo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Txanton Bascal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Rojos F.C. booed when Cienciano was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vitorino Soto didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 56th minute of the game. One of Cienciano:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Rojos F.C.:s goal. The referee gave Rojos F.C. a penalty, 58 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Feliz Chicarro, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Cienciano's Txanton Bascal. 2-1. In the 62nd minute Elija Carretero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Txanton Bascal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cienciano's Txanton Bascal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elija Carretero in the 82nd minute of play. Xiao Zotes came free with the goalkeeper in the 86th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Timeteo Ramon could save by the left post. Cienciano's Txanton Bascal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elija Carretero in the 95th minute of play. In the 96th minute, Vitorino Soto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 99th minute Rodrigo Medinilla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Timeteo Ramon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Elija Carretero might have been able to make a better finish in the 101st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Txanton Bascal. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Elija Carretero ran back to his position shaking his head. Cienciano's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
