Fabio Villavedon kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. 14 minutes into the match, Alianza Lima's goalkeeper Gaueko Ustoa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Xiao Zotes. A collision led to Alianza Lima getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Isauro Regalado hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rodrigo Medinilla in the 20th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gaueko Ustoa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Xiao Zotes in the 23rd minute of play forced Alianza Lima's goalkeeper Gaueko Ustoa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Isauro Regalado hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Rodrigo Medinilla recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alianza Lima's Gaueko Ustoa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to save Alianza Lima from getting a goal against them. The audience was convinced that Osvaldo Pelaci's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Txanton Bascal was relentless in the 40th minute of the game. When the match had gone on for 66 minutes, Osvaldo Pelaci took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Txanton Bascal to make any attempt to save it.
