After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Pacorro Santavida managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sancor's supporters rose to their feet, but Pacorro Santavida was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rogerio Lobera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rogerio Lobera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pacorro Santavida in the 21st minute of the match. 24 minutes into the game, Vistruario Remon was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rogerio Lobera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isadore Alaejos in the 47th minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

When the match clock showed 51 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Vitoria Yanes sped through Sancor's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Urko Ferreiras. The supporters of Sancor booed when Club deportivo oviedo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gartzen Peñafiel didn't get a good kick on the ball.
