After 12 played minutes Alianza Lima got a freekick which was hit by Roberto Borja. Pacorro Estades took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 13th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Wieslaw Purzycki. Alianza Lima's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 15 minutes into the game, Ramos Godines was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pomamayo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Alianza Lima the free kick. Ramos Godines hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Pomamayo's zone, Jerold Requena stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cebo Proaño came out of the goal and Jerold Requena tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Through an outstanding action, after 20 minutes, Cebo Proaño successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Cebo Proaño made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Sarracino Condado sent off a good shot on target. With a little luck, Pomamayo's Cebo Proaño got control of the ball when Sarracino Condado tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jerold Requena received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Cebo Proaño tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cebo Proaño made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sarracino Condado in the 30th minute. Pomamayo's Cebo Proaño played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jerold Requena in the 32nd minute of play. Poz Mones fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cebo Proaño having to interfere. Wieslaw Purzycki showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fabio Garzon, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. The supporters of Pomamayo booed when Alianza Lima was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Poz Mones didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Alianza Lima getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Pepe Argos hit a great ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The wind increased when Jerold Requena made the kick off in the second half. Sarracino Condado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Jerold Requena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gabino Almuzara received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Cebo Proaño tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sarracino Condado in the 66th minute of play forced Pomamayo's goalkeeper Cebo Proaño to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 74 minutes into the match, Pomamayo's goal looked a bit too open when Poz Mones came free, but Cebo Proaño reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pomamayo's Ramos Godines got his second yellow card of the match in the 75th minute. The referee ordered Ramos Godines off the ground. After a rather tough play, Pomamayo's Ramos Godines got a free kick in the 76th minute. Sarracino Condado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cebo Proaño took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jerold Requena, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 97 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Pomamayo! The referee gave Alianza Lima a penalty, 99 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Jerold Requena, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Pomamayo's Cebo Proaño. 3-0. There was no doubt that Alianza Lima were the better team. Alianza Lima's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
