The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Delmar Selgas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Cordarrol Cepeda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 6 minutes into the game, Gutxi Herbias was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SpOrT ImPeRiAl .FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Jhonny FC the free kick. The supporters of Jhonny FC booed when SpOrT ImPeRiAl .FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gutxi Herbias didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 8th minute Gutxi Herbias shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cordarrol Cepeda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aimar Aguinaga kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. Urko Quejo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. In the 16th minute Delmar Selgas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cordarrol Cepeda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Incendio Campelo hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Cordarrol Cepeda took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Urko Quejo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cordarrol Cepeda showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Delmar Selgas, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. When Jhonny FC's Ubarna Quintanadueñas in the 24th minute got a chance for a shot 24th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. But to his dismay, Estebe Zamorano quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Cordarrol Cepeda came out of the goal in the 32nd minute to try and stop a shot by SpOrT ImPeRiAl .FC's Urko Quejo. But to his dismay, Urko Quejo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. The audience was convinced that Delmar Selgas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cordarrol Cepeda was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Delmar Selgas in the 37th minute of play forced Jhonny FC's goalkeeper Cordarrol Cepeda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gaizka Bailey hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. In the 47th minute, Estebe Zamorano ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cordarrol Cepeda was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ubarna Quintanadueñas to make the kick off. In the 59th play minute Gutxi Herbias came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Cordarrol Cepeda. 0-4. In the 63rdth minute of the game Urko Quejo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Jhonny FC's Cordarrol Cepeda was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a little luck, Jhonny FC's Cordarrol Cepeda got control of the ball when Gutxi Herbias tried to sneak it across the goal line. After having played for 69 minutes, Gaizka Bailey managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jhonny FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gaizka Bailey was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the match had gone on for 71 minutes, Delmar Selgas took a quick shot and it went in 0-5 without a chance for Cordarrol Cepeda to make any attempt to save it. Estavan Rotalo came out of the goal in the 75th minute to try and stop a shot by Jhonny FC's Gaizka Bailey. But to his dismay, Gaizka Bailey quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-5. The audience was convinced that Gaizka Bailey's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Estavan Rotalo was relentless in the 80th minute of the game. A collision led to Jhonny FC getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Ubarna Quintanadueñas hit a great ball. An unexpected shot in the 86th minute by Urko Quejo got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Estavan Rotalo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gaizka Bailey in the 95th minute of play. Tajo Manjaleguas was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 97 minutes into the match. 96 minutes into the game, one of SpOrT ImPeRiAl .FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The SpOrT ImPeRiAl .FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
