Amailayo's Sugar Piedeconcha tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Sugar Piedeconcha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Evaristo Caselles in the 14th minute of play. Oto Melgar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tebaldo Navajas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mede Barrantes in the 19th minute. In the 21st minute, Evaristo Caselles ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sugar Piedeconcha was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Teodor Rosich in the 24th minute of play forced Tumboya F.C.'s goalkeeper Tebaldo Navajas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fix Careaga couldn't finish the play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fix Careaga in the 39th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sugar Piedeconcha saved Amailayo from getting behind. In the 48thth minute of the game Evaristo Caselles who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Amailayo's Sugar Piedeconcha was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After the first half Tumboya F.C. were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Xaiver Astozas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Evaristo Caselles notched a goal, 0-5, to the right of Amailayo's Sugar Piedeconcha. Sugar Piedeconcha was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Sugar Piedeconcha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Froilan Quevedo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Evaristo Caselles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Lucas Buisan was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 61 minutes had been played. Fix Careaga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Evaristo Caselles could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 89th minute of the match, but Sugar Piedeconcha made a huge save. 0-8 became the score in the 90th minute when Fix Careaga elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Tumboya F.C.'s fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
