The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Pancho Saron succeeded in the game's 6th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-1. In the 12thth minute of the game Pancho Saron who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SPORTING CRYSTAL's Erauso Brunet was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Erauso Brunet took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfonso Arrano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 15th minute, Alfonso Arrano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 16th minute, Sebastian Rzegotka hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. SPORTING CRYSTAL's Miro Cortinez got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Deyan Brashnarov's late challenge caught a SPORTING CRYSTAL's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The supporters of SPORTING CRYSTAL booed when Club Defensor Los Robles was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. A very good chance for a goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alfonso Arrano in the 97th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Erauso Brunet prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match was over Club Defensor Los Robles could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than SPORTING CRYSTAL throughout the match.
