The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Maties Nunez scored 1-0 in the 5th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Burutzagi Cia, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Conrado Omaña in the 11th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Burutzagi Cia saved Alianza lima from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Cholazo's zone, Omar Sedan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Efrain Mirabel came out of the goal and Omar Sedan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 14th minute Maties Nunez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Burutzagi Cia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 17 minutes into the match, Mouricio Ibarlucea notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Cholazo's Efrain Mirabel. Efrain Mirabel was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Burutzagi Cia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dimo Figueroa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alianza lima's Burutzagi Cia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Taio Ybarbo in the 24th minute of play. Mouricio Ibarlucea hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Maties Nunez scored 2-1 in the 29th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Burutzagi Cia, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 32 minutes into the game, Iztal Soliz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Alianza lima's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cholazo the free kick. After a rather tough play, Alianza lima's Iztal Soliz got a free kick in the 32nd minute. If Omar Sedan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 36th minute, Ortzi Pedraja got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Alianza lima's Burutzagi Cia proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save Alianza lima from getting a goal against them. The attack was good, but when Conrado Omaña in the 43rd minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. In the 45th minute Conrado Omaña shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Burutzagi Cia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 46th minute, Iztal Soliz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Taio Ybarbo was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute, Ortzi Pedraja hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Efrain Mirabel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mouricio Ibarlucea, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Efrain Mirabel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ortzi Pedraja in the 60th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Alianza lima's Omar Sedan slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Efrain Mirabel. That made the score 2-2 after 61 minutes of play. After some careless play in the Alianza lima defense, Taio Ybarbo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Burutzagi Cia. The Alianza lima fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Burutzagi Cia should have stopped the shot. Alianza lima's Iztal Soliz got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 79th match minute, Cholazo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Duarte Felipez to maneuver through the defense. When the match had gone on for 82 minutes, Maria Tarrero put it in 4-2 from a short distance just to the right of Burutzagi Cia. Burutzagi Cia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Conrado Omaña, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Omar Sedan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Efrain Mirabel having to interfere. 92 minutes into the match, Cholazo's goalkeeper Efrain Mirabel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Iztal Soliz. Cholazo's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
