Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Jenhuapata 's Satordi Arevalo started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 8 minutes into the game, Ralondo Arellano was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Danubio FBC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Jenhuapata the free kick. Ralondo Arellano kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. Jenhuapata 's Hugo Garandia couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 9th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Danubio FBC. Zoil Vilafranca recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Idacio Arriano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Satordi Arevalo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Zoil Vilafranca came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Jenhuapata fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zoil Vilafranca couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Danubio FBC's Quirze Matias got a free kick in the 14th minute. Idacio Arriano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Satordi Arevalo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ramirez Villamizar might have been able to make a better finish in the 23rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cortez Niño. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ramirez Villamizar ran back to his position shaking his head. 24 minutes into the match, Firman Cobo notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Jenhuapata 's Cortez Niño. Cortez Niño was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the match had gone on for 31 minutes, Zoil Vilafranca took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Idacio Arriano to make any attempt to save it. Oinaz Merodio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Idacio Arriano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 44 minutes, Satordi Arevalo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jenhuapata 's supporters crossed their fingers, but Satordi Arevalo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

In the 57th match minute, Jenhuapata was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Michel Tobar to maneuver through the defense. Idacio Arriano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Satordi Arevalo in the 62nd minute of play. After recieving a nice pass, Jenhuapata 's Hugo Garandia tried to score from far away in the 65th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ramirez Villamizar got free with Cortez Niño in the 71st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 77th minute Satordi Arevalo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Idacio Arriano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 81 minutes into the match, Jenhuapata 's goal looked a bit too open when Ramirez Villamizar came free, but Cortez Niño reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Jenhuapata getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Oinaz Merodio hit a great ball. Idacio Arriano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zoil Vilafranca, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. After having played for 91 minutes, Firman Cobo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Danubio FBC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Firman Cobo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Ramirez Villamizar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.
