After a rather tough play, Sporting Nacional's Formerio Trapiella got a free kick in the 3rd minute. In the 4th minute, Zenaido Aramoyana got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 5 minutes into the match, Donat Collier had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sandaili Varas. Sporting Nacional's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Donat Collier was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 9th minute, Donat Collier ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sandaili Varas was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. 12 minutes into the match, Sporting Nacional's goal looked a bit too open when Favila Villaren came free, but Sandaili Varas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 14 minutes of play, Nova Soccer's Piero Quispe made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sandaili Varas was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of Sporting Nacional booed when Nova Soccer was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Donat Collier didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sandaili Varas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Piero Quispe in the 20th minute of play. 23 minutes into the match, Piero Quispe had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sandaili Varas. An unexpectedly hard shot by Piero Quispe in the 29th minute of play forced Sporting Nacional's goalkeeper Sandaili Varas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sandaili Varas didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Donat Collier went, in the 31st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-6 was the resulting score. 38 minutes into the game, Edinson Flores cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-8. Sandaili Varas was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 42nd minute, Donat Collier ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sandaili Varas was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-9. Sandaili Varas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Donat Collier in the 45th minute of play. Sandaili Varas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edinson Flores, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. Sandaili Varas came out of the goal in the 47th minute to try and stop a shot by Nova Soccer's Donat Collier. But to his dismay, Donat Collier quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-10. Disappointed in the 0-10 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Leo Amocia stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Edinson Flores hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. In the 56th minute, Nova Soccer's Donat Collier dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-11. The audience thought a goal was coming when Edinson Flores got free with Sandaili Varas in the 60th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 62 minutes into the game, Marco Olea cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-12. Sandaili Varas was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After some careless play in the Sporting Nacional defense, Favila Villaren kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sandaili Varas. The Sporting Nacional fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sandaili Varas should have stopped the shot. 70 minutes into the match, Donat Collier dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Sandaili Varas, 0-14. In the 81st minute Donat Collier shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sandaili Varas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Sporting Nacional defense, Marco Olea kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sandaili Varas. The Sporting Nacional fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sandaili Varas should have stopped the shot. Sporting Nacional's Sandaili Varas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edinson Flores in the 93rd minute of play. Sandaili Varas came out of the goal in the 95th minute to try and stop a shot by Nova Soccer's Edinson Flores. But to his dismay, Edinson Flores quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-17.
