The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With an all-out effort, San Juan FBC's Virila Borizar threw himself towards the right post 3 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Calixto Bujanda, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Virila Borizar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Beat Sequeiros in the 9th minute of the match. 11 minutes into the match, CSS.20's goal looked a bit too open when Beat Sequeiros came free, but Virila Borizar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of San Juan FBC booed when CSS.20 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ricardo Amileta didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luis Figueruela came out of the goal in the 19th minute to try and stop a shot by CSS.20's Andy Miruena. But to his dismay, Andy Miruena quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. In the 22nd minute, Libertad Treviño made a precise shot to the right of Virila Borizar. CSS.20's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Virila Borizar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Calixto Bujanda, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Chan Riba fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luis Figueruela having to interfere. Alonso Zumiza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Luis Figueruela tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. CSS.20's Virila Borizar proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save CSS.20 from getting a goal against them. Virila Borizar made a fantastic save in the 39th minute, when Libertad Treviño sent off a good shot on target. Pietro Villapadierna hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Beat Sequeiros managed to get in a good position for a shot. San Juan FBC's supporters rose to their feet, but Beat Sequeiros was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Virila Borizar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

In the 52nd minute, Beat Sequeiros got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Beat Sequeiros struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Virila Borizar didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for San Juan FBC. 58 minutes into the match, CSS.20's goal looked a bit too open when Libertad Treviño came free, but Virila Borizar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Virila Borizar came out of the goal in the 58th minute to try and stop a shot by San Juan FBC's Libertad Treviño. But to his dismay, Libertad Treviño quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Beat Sequeiros in the 69th minute of play forced CSS.20's goalkeeper Virila Borizar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Virila Borizar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Libertad Treviño, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Virila Borizar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Libertad Treviño, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. In the 77th minute the ball was on its way in behind CSS.20's goalkeeper Virila Borizar, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 78 minutes into the game, Xulio Rapela was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. San Juan FBC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave CSS.20 the free kick. After 78 played minutes San Juan FBC got a freekick which was hit by Xulio Rapela.
