The audience thought a goal was coming when Nassos Kezdoglou got free with Carolo Aries in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Nassos Kezdoglou recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Marcelo Olarria's late challenge caught a Nimrod Tel Babil's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marcelo Olarria helped the player get up and apologised. Marcelo Olarria kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. After 22 minutes, Nassos Kezdoglou made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Quenualca's Carolo Aries tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Nimrod Tel Babil's Franco Dionisi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Panfilo Negro in the 31st minute of play. Nassos Kezdoglou ran back to his position shaking his head. When Nassos Kezdoglou fell near the penalty area in the 63rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Nimrod Tel Babil's protests and gave Nassos Kezdoglou a yellow card for diving instead. Nimrod Tel Babil made a substitution. Mazuste Herrera replaced Castel Vardeci. In the 67th minute Nassos Kezdoglou shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carolo Aries saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
