Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Nunez Bruñon kicked off to start the match. Aloisio Velandia made in the 6th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by UNIVERSITARIO's Zigor Feruel. UNIVERSITARIO's Haitz Betoño got a good chance for a goal in the 10th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Shantala Mariña took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nunez Bruñon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nunez Bruñon recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 17th match minute, UNIVERSITARIO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Chepe Moran to maneuver through the defense. Zigor Feruel hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Nunez Bruñon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 23 minutes into the game, Ferran Picavea was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. UNIVERSITARIO's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cuyuchugo the free kick. The supporters of Cuyuchugo booed when UNIVERSITARIO was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ferran Picavea didn't get a good kick on the ball. UNIVERSITARIO's Zigor Feruel got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, UNIVERSITARIO's Zigor Feruel got a free kick in the 31st minute. 36 minutes in the game Aloisio Velandia did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Gil Portillo. The audience was convinced that Haitz Betoño's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marques Valdeon was relentless in the 39th minute of the game. In the 43rd match minute, Cuyuchugo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hipolito Bujanda to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Gil Portillo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cuyuchugo's supporters rose to their feet, but Gil Portillo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Shantala Mariña breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Haitz Betoño sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 61st minute, Chepe Moran hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marques Valdeon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Haitz Betoño, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpected shot in the 66th minute by Haitz Betoño got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Haitz Betoño's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marques Valdeon read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 67th minute of play. In the 71st minute Nunez Bruñon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Shantala Mariña saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Haitz Betoño had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Haitz Betoño received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Marques Valdeon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Zigor Feruel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Shantala Mariña showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Guillelmo Esqueda, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. Shantala Mariña took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guillelmo Esqueda, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Cuyuchugo supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching UNIVERSITARIO's performance. The match ended with a win for UNIVERSITARIO.
