After 17 played minutes, Cuyuchugo's Aloisio Velandia shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Xosepin Ubidea came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Cuyuchugo reached it. After a rather tough play, Cuyuchugo's Eneto Morua got a free kick in the 18th minute. The supporters of Cuyuchugo booed when Metafez F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Enekoitz Failde didn't get a good kick on the ball. Enekoitz Failde kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Beti Corniero got free with Marques Valdeon in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rafe Imaz was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 38th minute. Metafez F.C.'s manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Marques Valdeon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rafe Imaz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gil Larrauri's late challenge caught a Metafez F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card.
