The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, Balkes FC's Reimundo Nobajas got a free kick in the 3rd minute. After 5 played minutes Balkes FC got a freekick which was hit by Joaquim Mauricio. Xamo Viladrosa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Norino Tostado in the 8th minute of the match. Claretiano FC's Birila Graña played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iván Sotomayor in the 19th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maurinho Mendonça in the 33rd minute of play forced Balkes FC's goalkeeper Xamo Viladrosa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Xamo Viladrosa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maurinho Mendonça, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Xamo Viladrosa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Maurinho Mendonça's shot from short distance in the 42nd minute. When the match had gone on for 42 minutes, Maurinho Mendonça put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Xamo Viladrosa. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Maurinho Mendonça was the one to do the kick off. If Juango Carranza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Birila Graña showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Iván Sotomayor, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. If Norino Tostado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Dalmu Torre hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Claretiano FC made a substitution. Benigno Viñal replaced Norino Tostado. Claretiano FC's Gelacio Salceda was substituted for Qu Lei Chang. After 74 played minutes Claretiano FC got a freekick which was hit by Dalmu Torre. After a defensive mix-up in Balkes FC's zone, Benigno Viñal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Xamo Viladrosa came out of the goal and Benigno Viñal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Maurinho Mendonça managed to get in a good position for a shot. Claretiano FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Maurinho Mendonça was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Xamo Viladrosa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Xamo Viladrosa was a little too slow when Maurinho Mendonça got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 90th minute. The score was now 0-2. In the 93rd minute, Dündar Tura hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Claretiano FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
