Baldomiro Abascal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cresitobalo Rilo in the 15th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Cresitobalo Rilo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Baldomiro Abascal was relentless in the 16th minute of the game. The Cusco FC fans' excitement grew in the 16th match minute when Cusco FC's Cresitobalo Rilo looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 20thth minute of the game Cresitobalo Rilo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Atletico Grau's Baldomiro Abascal was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Cresitobalo Rilo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 26 minutes into the match, Cusco FC's Gabon Salantes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Baldomiro Abascal narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Atletico Grau's Baldomiro Abascal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cresitobalo Rilo in the 29th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Vitaliy Alov during the 35th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Vitaliy Alov hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Carlos Zambrano, 36 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Urbasa Barbari in the 39th minute of play forced Cusco FC's goalkeeper Marcelo Quexada to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 39 minutes, Severino Otero mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Atletico Grau and the Cusco FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Atletico Grau getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Severino Otero hit a great ball. Elorri Uruñuela fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Baldomiro Abascal having to interfere. 45 minutes into the match, Atletico Grau's Urbasa Barbari sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Marcelo Quexada narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cresitobalo Rilo in the 46th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Baldomiro Abascal prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Urbasa Barbari was the one to do the kick off. Cresitobalo Rilo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gabon Salantes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Baldomiro Abascal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Cusco FC booed when Atletico Grau was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Severino Otero didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cresitobalo Rilo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Baldomiro Abascal made a huge save. Gabon Salantes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Baldomiro Abascal having to make a save. Cresitobalo Rilos short, quick shot in the 56thth minute got Baldomiro Abascal to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Severino Otero hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Elorri Uruñuela struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Baldomiro Abascal didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cusco FC. In the 63rd minute, Gabon Salantes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Beat Bujanda made in the 65th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Orain Trinidad immediately put the ball in play. Elorri Uruñuela fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Baldomiro Abascal having to interfere. Baldomiro Abascal made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cresitobalo Rilo in the 68th minute. The referee felt a red card was in order, 72 minutes into the game, when Vitaliy Alov put in a rough tackle. Baldomiro Abascal made a fantastic save in the 79th minute, when Cresitobalo Rilo sent off a good shot on target. The corner led Cusco FC's Carlos Zambrano to fire away a dangerous shot which Baldomiro Abascal despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. With a little luck, Atletico Grau's Baldomiro Abascal got control of the ball when Cresitobalo Rilo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Cresitobalo Rilo's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Baldomiro Abascal firmly grabbed it by the left post. Cresitobalo Rilo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 87th minute of the match, but Baldomiro Abascal made a huge save. In the 88th minute, Cresitobalo Rilo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cusco FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-6. Baldomiro Abascal made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cresitobalo Rilo in the 92nd minute. In the 95th minute, Cresitobalo Rilo made a precise shot to the right of Baldomiro Abascal. Atletico Grau's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-7. In the 98th minute, Cusco FC's Cresitobalo Rilo ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Baldomiro Abascal. Baldomiro Abascal yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-8. When the match was over Cusco FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Atletico Grau throughout the match.
