But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Martino Armona couldn't finish the play. 8 minutes into the game, Federico Puja threw the ball into play from the sideline. Monitor Huáscar's Tom Bom quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. If Enrique Cassaretto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Apostol Sokolov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Enrique Cassaretto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Apostol Sokolov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Enrique Cassaretto in the 17th minute of the match. The supporters of CD Municipal booed when Monitor Huáscar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nazario Victorica didn't get a good kick on the ball. Enrique Cassaretto blasted a shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Apostol Sokolov having to make a save. Monitor Huáscar's Apostol Sokolov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Enrique Cassaretto in the 20th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Monitor Huáscar's Chiquito Rico got a free kick in the 21st minute. Apostol Sokolov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Enrique Cassaretto, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. George Forsyth showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Chiquito Rico, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. 30 minutes into the match, Enrique Cassaretto had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Apostol Sokolov. Monitor Huáscar's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Enrique Cassaretto was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Apostol Sokolov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Enrique Cassaretto in the 35th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Enrique Cassaretto in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Apostol Sokolov prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Federico Puja kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. In the 39th minute the ball was on its way in behind CD Municipal's goalkeeper George Forsyth, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 41st match minute, CD Municipal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Federico Puja to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to CD Municipal getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Mosen Colillas hit a great ball. George Forsyth showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paulo Fallabes, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. Oalo Deans short, quick shot in the 80thth minute got Apostol Sokolov to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. George Forsyth made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chiquito Rico in the 83rd minute of play. CD Municipal's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Călin Morovan in the 88th minute. After taking down the ball on CD Municipal's corner Călin Morovan fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Apostol Sokolov quite easily take care of the ball. CD Municipal's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
