Cheito Zapata showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alexander Tijero, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. In the 14th minute Nicolás Castro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emiliano Sánchez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Parita F.C.'s zone, Alexander Tijero stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cheito Zapata came out of the goal and Alexander Tijero tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jorge Gonzalez charged in rather forcefully in the 29th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jorge Gonzalez the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 29th match minute, Parita F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jorge Gonzalez to maneuver through the defense. Alexander Tijero recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Chiriqui Futbol Club's Emiliano Sánchez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alejandro Moreno in the 32nd minute of play. Alexander Tijero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 38th minute, Juan Posam hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Edgardo Castro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chiriqui Futbol Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Edgardo Castro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cheito Zapata breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Parita F.C. getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Alejandro Moreno hit a great ball.

After a defensive mix-up in Parita F.C.'s zone, Edgardo Castro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cheito Zapata came out of the goal and Edgardo Castro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cheito Zapata made a fantastic save in the 57th minute, when Alexander Tijero sent off a good shot on target. Wilfredo Morris took the ball and in the 59 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Emiliano Sánchez. Emiliano Sánchez dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. In the 63rd match minute, Chiriqui Futbol Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rolando Tijero to maneuver through the defense. When Chiriqui Futbol Club's Edgardo Castro in the 71st minute got a chance for a shot 71st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Parita F.C.'s goalie prevented a goal. Parita F.C.'s Alejandro Moreno got his second yellow card of the match in the 72nd minute.
