In the 14th minute Beto Centella shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Toto Torrijos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, El Porvenir F.C.'s Totín Arauz got a free kick in the 17th minute. After 20 minutes El Porvenir F.C.'s defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Romel Herrera who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Romel Herrera almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but El Porvenir F.C.'s Toto Torrijos did a great save. Hector Morris took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Milton Perez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Felipe Moscoso's late challenge caught a El Porvenir F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Felipe Moscoso helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Nuevo Vigía getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Felipe Moscoso hit a great ball. 31 minutes into the game, El Porvenir F.C.'s Franklin Herrera nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Hector Morris made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. If Milton Perez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Totín Arauz in the 46th minute of play forced Nuevo Vigía's goalkeeper Hector Morris to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Milton Perez to strike the kick off in the second half. Hector Morris made an important save on a dangerous shot by Franklin Herrera in the 65th minute. 2-1 became the score in the 73rd minute when Beto Centella elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. If Felipe Moscoso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Milton Perez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nuevo Vigía's defense didn't have a chance, in the 85th minute, when Milton Perez scored to the left of an out of position Hector Morris, making the score, 2-2. El Porvenir F.C.'s Toto Torrijos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felipe Moscoso in the 90th minute of play. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
