Spectators: 6795 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1795, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Monchi Bermudez kicked off to start the match. The attack was good, but when Cheito Fernández in the 9th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Monchi Bermudez's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jose Chavez read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 11th minute of play. Jose Chavez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Monchi Bermudez, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. After 22 minutes, Luis Corral mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cerro Punta and the Chanis F.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 22 played minutes Cerro Punta got a freekick which was hit by Luis Corral. In the 26th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cerro Punta's goalkeeper Jose Chavez, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Chanis F.C.'s Cheito Fernández got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Chanis F.C. booed when Cerro Punta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juan De Diego didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ramon Ulloa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Luis Corral's shot from short distance in the 30th minute. Ramon Ulloa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabio González in the 39th minute of play. In the 43rd minute Juan De Diego shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ramon Ulloa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 46 minutes, Monchi Bermudez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chanis F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Monchi Bermudez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 48 minutes into the match, Cerro Punta's goal looked a bit too open when Monchi Bermudez came free, but Jose Chavez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

Chanis F.C.'s Ramon Ulloa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save Chanis F.C. from getting a goal against them. Cheito Fernández's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jose Chavez read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 60th minute of play. A hard shot 65 in the game by Fabio González from a close distance when the talented Ramon Ulloa managed to make a qualified save. Chanis F.C.'s players were relieved. Fabio González recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Monchi Bermudez in the 70th minute of play forced Cerro Punta's goalkeeper Jose Chavez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cheito Fernández struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Jose Chavez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chanis F.C.. Monchi Bermudez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jose Chavez having to interfere. 92 minutes into the match, Chanis F.C.'s Cesar Mota sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jose Chavez narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
