Spectators: 6786 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1786, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Heraclides Ramírez took the kick off in the first half of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 3rd minute, Juan Quirós managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ailigandí's supporters rose to their feet, but Juan Quirós was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fernando Quiros breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Hector Castillo was out of position in the 5 minute of play, and Ivan Espino capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Ivan Espino really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. After a rather tough play, Ailigandí's Juan Fernández got a free kick in the 7th minute. The supporters of Panama City – Capital booed when Ailigandí was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Antonio Pimentel didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hector Alfaro in the 9th minute of play forced Ailigandí's goalkeeper Hector Castillo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Juan Fernández kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. After 12 played minutes Panama City – Capital got a freekick which was hit by Felix Briceño. After 18 minutes, Cesar Zambrano mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ailigandí and the Panama City – Capital players grew even worse after the yellow card. Cesar Zambrano kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Fernando Quiros showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Heraclides Ramírez in the 21st minute of the match. Juan Quirós scored 1-1 in the 22nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fernando Quiros, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Fernando Quiros took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joe Amaya, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Juan Quirós fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fernando Quiros having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Panama City – Capital's zone, Heraclides Ramírez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fernando Quiros came out of the goal and Heraclides Ramírez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Ailigandí booed when Panama City – Capital was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cheito Ortiz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fernando Quiros showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Juan Quirós, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Heraclides Ramírez in the 40th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fernando Quiros prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Juan Fernández fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fernando Quiros having to interfere. Hector Castillo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ivan Espino in the 43rd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Panama City – Capital's zone, Lorenzo De Leon stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fernando Quiros came out of the goal and Lorenzo De Leon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Heraclides Ramírez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Heraclides Ramírez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 55th minute Joe Amaya shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fernando Quiros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Joe Amaya had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 58thth minute of the game Heraclides Ramírez who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Panama City – Capital's Fernando Quiros was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Heraclides Ramírez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Fernando Quiros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Juan Quirós recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Heraclides Ramírez came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Ailigandí fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Heraclides Ramírez couldn't finish the play. Carlos Herbruger sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Panama City – Capital's Fernando Quiros proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to save Panama City – Capital from getting a goal against them. In the 81st minute, Ramon Bultrón hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ailigandí's Joe Amaya got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Heraclides Ramírez in the 88th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fernando Quiros prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 94th minute, Ramon Bultrón ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hector Castillo was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1.
