Juan Villalobos hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. Américo Palma's late challenge caught a Caimitillo F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Américo Palma helped the player get up and apologised. In the 17th match minute, Aguadulce F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Américo Palma to maneuver through the defense. Milton Moreno stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Joe Moreno's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. In the 27th minute, Wiliam De Gracia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Heraclides Gómez charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Heraclides Gómez the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Caimitillo F.C. booed when Aguadulce F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Heraclides Gómez didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 29th minute, Tomaso González sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Aguadulce F.C.'s Emanuel Lao didn't even have to move. Milton Moreno took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andrés Torrijos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 34th minute, David Toledano fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Emanuel Lao, passed just outside the right post. Sergio Trejos blasted a shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Emanuel Lao having to make a save. In the 35th match minute, Aguadulce F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Américo Palma to maneuver through the defense. In the 37th minute David Toledano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emanuel Lao saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Caimitillo F.C.'s Wiliam Posam got a free kick in the 38th minute. Milton Moreno took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andrés Torrijos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Caimitillo F.C.'s Milton Moreno played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andrés Torrijos in the 47th minute of play.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Andrés Torrijos made a kick off. Joe Moreno received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Milton Moreno tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Andrés Torrijos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Caimitillo F.C.'s Milton Moreno proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 61st minute of the match, managed to save Caimitillo F.C. from getting a goal against them. In the 65th minute David Toledano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emanuel Lao saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Emanuel Lao showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from David Toledano in the 73rd minute of the match. Joe Moreno sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Aguadulce F.C. defense, David Toledano kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Emanuel Lao. The Aguadulce F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Emanuel Lao should have stopped the shot. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Caimitillo F.C. fans cheered their team off the field, for while Aguadulce F.C. had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
