In the 24th minute Juan Valdez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rigoberto Palma saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. General Ramirez FC's Rigoberto Palma played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guillermo Herbruger in the 26th minute of play. Rigoberto Palma showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Juan Valdez, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Rigoberto Palma made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guillermo Herbruger in the 32nd minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Juan Valdez in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rigoberto Palma saved General Ramirez FC from getting behind. With a little luck, Escobal's Rafael Tello got control of the ball when Nicolás Alfaro tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Guillermo Herbruger in the 39th minute of play forced General Ramirez FC's goalkeeper Rigoberto Palma to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pablo Gil took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 44th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Rigoberto Palma. Ricardo Pérez missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 52 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Rafael Tello right hand side. Rigoberto Palma made an important save on a dangerous shot by Guillermo Herbruger in the 56th minute. Rigoberto Palma made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Juan Valdez in the 57th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Guillermo Herbruger managed to get in a good position for a shot. Escobal's supporters rose to their feet, but Guillermo Herbruger was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Emiliano De Leon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gustavo Villalobos charged in rather forcefully in the 75th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gustavo Villalobos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Gustavo Villalobos kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. In the 80th match minute, Escobal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Juan Valdez to maneuver through the defense. General Ramirez FC's Nicolás Alfaro got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rafael Tello showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ricardo Pérez in the 96th minute of the match. The Escobal players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
