In the 15th minute, Franklin Mendieta got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Felipe Villalobos in the 16th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Andrés Centella prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Andrés Centella made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felipe Villalobos in the 22nd minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Martín Quirós in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Martín Nuñez saved Entradero F.C. from getting behind. Jorge Ramírez's late challenge caught a Mañanitas's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jorge Ramírez helped the player get up and apologised. Jorge Ramírez hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. After 26 minutes of play, Mañanitas's Martín Quirós made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Martín Nuñez was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Martín Quirós in the 29th minute of play forced Entradero F.C.'s goalkeeper Martín Nuñez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Felipe Villalobos to make the kick off.
