When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Agustin Nuñez made a kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Ailigandí's goalkeeper Ricardo Navarro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Antonio González. When Cheito Quintero was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 53 minutes had been played. Cheito Quintero kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Jose Morales received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Rolando Gonzalez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Antonio González got free with Ricardo Navarro in the 61st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Emanuel Trejos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Antonio González might have been able to make a better finish in the 64th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ricardo Navarro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Antonio González ran back to his position shaking his head. Alex De Diego kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. Ricardo Navarro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Antonio González in the 67th minute. After having played for 69 minutes, Romel Lao managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal.
