After a rather tough play, Kusapin F.C.'s Ramon Lao got a free kick in the 25th minute. José Herrera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elias Castillero in the 29th minute of play. Lucho González fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jorge Ramírez having to interfere. Sebastián Tijero's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but José Herrera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 42nd minute of play. With his leg José Herrera managed to avoid a goal in the 48thth minute, when Kusapin F.C.'s Sebastián Tijero fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Elias Castillero to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Sebastián Tijero notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Chiriqui F.C.'s José Herrera. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
